FC Ekibastuz is a Kazakhstani football club from Ekibastuz, a coal-mining city in the Pavlodar region of the north. The club competes in the divisions of Kazakhstani football, representing an industrial city built around one of the largest coal basins in Central Asia. The city's vast open-cast coal mine and power stations feed much of Kazakhstan's electricity, and the club is its main sporting emblem.
Yelimay-M Semey is the reserve team of the Kazakh club Yelimay, from Semey in the north-east of Kazakhstan. The side plays in the lower divisions of Kazakh football, developing young players for the first team. It represents a historic city on the Irtysh river, long known by its Russian name Semipalatinsk, out on the northern steppe.
