CSKA Sofia is a Bulgarian football club from the capital and, founded in 1948, the record champion of Bulgaria with more than thirty national titles. Historically the army club, CSKA reached two European Cup semi-finals and remains one of the two dominant forces in the country. It plays at the Balgarska Armia Stadium and contests the Eternal Derby with Levski Sofia, the biggest match in Bulgarian football.
Qarabağ FK is the leading football club of Azerbaijan, originally from Ağdam in the Karabakh region. Displaced from its home city by conflict, the club plays in the capital, Baku, and has become a repeat national champion and a regular in the Champions League and Europa League group stages. Its remarkable European runs have made it one of the great stories of football in the Caucasus.
