Independiente Rivadavia is an Argentine football club from the city of Mendoza, in the wine country at the foot of the Andes. Nicknamed La Lepra, the club won promotion to the Argentine Primera División and plays at the Estadio Bautista Gargantini. It is one of the great popular football institutions of the Cuyo region in the west of Argentina.

Nicknamed El Globo, the balloon, after the airship depicted on its badge, the club is a traditional name of Argentine football and a former national champion. It plays at the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó and sustains a fierce rivalry with near-neighbours San Lorenzo.
