Oțelul Galați is a Romanian football club from Galați, a port city on the Danube in the east of Romania. Astonishingly, the club won the Romanian league title in 2011 and went on to play in the UEFA Champions League group stage. Its name, Oțelul, means the Steel, reflecting the great steelworks of its industrial home city.
