The club has competed in the Categoría Primera A, the Colombian top flight, since winning promotion, and plays at the Estadio Jaraguay. It represents a warm lowland region on the banks of the Sinú river.
Atlético Nacional is a Colombian football club based in Medellín and one of the biggest names in South American football. It became the first Colombian club to win the Copa Libertadores, in 1989, and lifted it again in 2016. A record-setting champion of Colombia, Nacional plays at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot.
