The club has competed in the Categoría Primera A, the Colombian top flight, since winning promotion, and plays at the Estadio Jaraguay. It represents a warm lowland region on the banks of the Sinú river.
Once Caldas is a Colombian football club from Manizales, a city high in the coffee-growing mountains of central Colombia. The club stunned South America by winning the Copa Libertadores in 2004, beating Boca Juniors in the final, and plays at the Estadio Palogrande. It is the great footballing name of the Caldas coffee region.
