Sport Club Internacional, known simply as Inter, is a Brazilian football club from Porto Alegre in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, founded in 1909. One of the country's true giants, the club has won the Copa Libertadores twice and the FIFA Club World Cup, famously defeating Barcelona in the 2006 final. It plays at the Estádio Beira-Rio and contests the ferocious Grenal derby with city rivals Grêmio.
